What Homeopathy Is NOT
Helping Pet Parents Understand What Makes It Different
Before we teach pet parents how to use homeopathy, we need to clarify what it’s not. This lesson will help them understand how homeopathy is fundamentally different from herbal medicine, essential oils, supplements, or pharmaceuticals.
We’re re-training the brain to think in terms of energy, frequency, and healing signals, not chemistry and physical substances.
What Homeopathy Is NOT
Let’s start by clearing up some common misconceptions:
It’s Not a Vitamin, Supplement, or Drug
Supplements and medications work by supplying something (like vitamin C, a hormone, or a chemical compound) to affect physical processes.
Homeopathy doesn’t add anything physical. It delivers an energetic “message” that prompts the body to respond.
There are no measurable molecules of the original substance in most potencies — yet the effect is real and powerful.
It’s Not Herbal Medicine
Herbal remedies contain plant constituents that directly affect the body — like flavonoids, alkaloids, or bitter compounds.
You can taste, smell, and measure the compounds in herbs.
Herbs nourish, stimulate, detox, or suppress — depending on how they’re used.
Homeopathy doesn’t act this way.
It does not feed or detox the body.
It does not contain measurable chemical constituents.
It will not show up on a lab test — but it may trigger the body to correct something that does.
Make Note Here – we do indeed use homeopathics in our protocols for thing like vaccine detox. There is a subtle difference in the use of the word in most publicly referenced explanations. Remember, Homeopathy is a cue to the body to hear
Where They Overlap:
Both are holistic and consider the whole body.
Both can help dogs feel better naturally.
Both can be used alongside traditional veterinary care.
It’s Not Essential Oils
Essential oils are powerful chemical extracts from plants, rich in compounds like terpenes and phenols.
They work biochemically, antimicrobially, and even hormonally.
They can be inhaled, ingested (when appropriate), or applied topically — and are rapidly absorbed.
Homeopathic remedies:
Do not have a smell.
Do not contain any essential oil compounds.
Are not rubbed on the skin or used for antimicrobial action.
Where They Overlap:
Both are used in tiny amounts.
Both support emotional and physical healing.
Both can stimulate the body to balance itself.
Both need to be selected carefully — they aren’t one-size-fits-all.
It’s Not “Faith-Based” or Placebo
Animals, infants, and even plants respond to homeopathy.
It doesn’t require belief — it requires resonance.
Just because it doesn’t act like a drug doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.
It’s Not “Just Energy Work”
While it is energy-based, it’s not the same as Reiki or frequency healing.
It’s a precise system with over 200 years of documentation, case studies, and materia medica.
Remedies are chosen based on detailed symptom pictures, not intuition or muscle testing alone.
