The Well Oiled K9 Membership

You Don't Need More Dog Information. You Need People You Trust.

Get Dana in your corner, learn alongside like-minded dog parents, ask the questions that come up with your own dog, and have a community to come back to as you navigate nutrition, natural wellness, aging, prevention and the unexpected.

This isn't a library you join and forget about. It's an ongoing conversation with Dana and dog parents who want to make thoughtful, informed choices for the dogs they love.

This Is What Membership Is For

Bring the questions you are already asking.

“Dana, what do you think about this?” A product, supplement, food, remedy, study or idea you've run across and want another set of eyes on.
“Has anyone else dealt with this?” Learn from conversations with other thoughtful dog parents, without turning Facebook comments into veterinary school.
“Where would you start?” Sometimes you need education. Sometimes you need a resource. Sometimes you just need help deciding which direction makes sense.
“Am I overthinking this?” Possibly. We're dog people. It happens.
$49 / month
$399 / year

Annual membership includes the complete Homemade Food Course and Remedies Class Collection. Monthly members may purchase either class separately.

More Than Content

A Place to Learn, Ask, Share and Talk Dogs.

There is already plenty to read on The Well Oiled K9. Membership is different. It gives you an ongoing connection to me, deeper education, practical resources and a community of dog parents who are interested in many of the same things you are.

1

Ask Dana

Bring the everyday questions that come up around food, supplements, remedies, products, senior dogs, prevention, natural wellness and the things you are trying to sort through.

2

Learn Together

One person's question often helps five other people who were wondering the exact same thing. Our conversations become part of everyone's education.

3

Find Your Dog People

Spend time with dog parents who care about nutrition, prevention, natural options, thoughtful decision-making and helping their dogs live well.

4

Go Deeper

Public articles can introduce a topic. Inside membership we can explore practical application, nuances, questions and the places where a simple blog post is not enough.

5

Have Somewhere to Come Back To

Dogs change. Questions change. New products appear. New research comes out. What you need at age three may be very different from what you need at age eleven.

6

Know When You Need More

Not every question needs a consultation. Some absolutely do. Membership helps us recognize the difference instead of trying to turn every conversation into private case management.

So What's Different?

The Website Gives You Information. Membership Gives You Conversation.

I'm not going to hide useful information just to force someone into membership. The public website will stay educational. Membership is for the person who wants to stay connected, keep learning and be able to bring questions back to me and the community as they come up.

On The Public Website

Read & Research

  • Learn about common health topics
  • Explore nutrition and fresh-food concepts
  • Read about herbs, oils and homeopathy
  • Research products and wellness options
  • Learn about senior health and prevention
  • Find related articles and resources

Inside Membership

Ask, Discuss & Apply

  • Bring your questions to Dana
  • Join conversations with like-minded dog parents
  • Participate in monthly live Zoom discussions
  • Go deeper than the public articles
  • Ask questions about classes and resources you are using
  • Return as new questions come up with your dog

The Part You Can't Get From Google

You Get Me — And a Community That Actually Wants to Talk About This Stuff.

I built this because dog health doesn't happen one article at a time.

You may join because you're trying to improve your dog's food. Three months later you're asking about mobility. Then a lab value. Then a supplement. Then whether something you're seeing is normal aging or deserves a closer look.

I want membership to be the place where those conversations can keep happening — with me and with other dog parents who care enough to keep learning too.

Monthly Live Zoom With Dana We dig into health and wellness topics, current questions and the things members actually want to talk about.
Ongoing Member Questions Food, supplements, products, natural remedies, senior dogs, prevention and those “Dana, have you seen this?” moments.
Questions From Your Classes Taking the Homemade Food Course or working through the Remedies Classes? Bring your questions and clarification into membership instead of being left to figure out every detail on your own.
Community Conversation Learn from other dog parents' questions, experiences and ideas while keeping the conversation thoughtful and useful.
My Resource Direction If I've already written, taught or recorded exactly what you need, I'll point you to it instead of making you dig through the entire site looking for it.
Replays & Continuing Education Miss a live discussion? Come back when you can. The value doesn't disappear just because Tuesday night got ridiculous.

And Yes, There Are Resources

Because Sometimes You Need an Answer at 10:30 at Night.

The member library supports the conversations we have. It gives you useful references to return to between questions, Zooms and discussions — without making “more stuff to read” the entire point of joining.

What Can I Do Today?

Practical starting points for common situations and everyday dog-health questions.

Natural First Aid

Quick references for common minor concerns and recognizing when home support is no longer enough.

Remedy Finders

Organized references for essential oils, herbs, homeopathy, botanicals and other natural wellness tools.

Food & Nutrition

Fresh food, homemade feeding, ingredients, supplementation and common nutritional questions.

Senior Dogs

Mobility, cognition, nutrition, comfort, longevity and the changing needs of older dogs.

Seasonal Wellness

Resources around parasites, lymphatics, liver, kidneys, environmental burden and seasonal support.

Products & Supplements

Education to help you understand what products are actually for before buying the next thing someone swears your dog needs.

Zoom Replays

Return to past conversations and educational discussions when they suddenly become relevant to your own dog.

Classes + Ongoing Support

Take the Class. Then Bring Me Your Questions.

Annual membership includes both complete self-paced classes. Monthly members can purchase either class separately. Either way, membership gives you a place to ask questions, get clarification and continue the conversation as you put what you're learning into practice.

Included With Annual

Homemade Food Course

Learn how the major pieces of a homemade diet work together, where homemade recipes commonly go wrong, how to improve the bowl and when your dog needs more individualized nutrition support.

Included With Annual

Complete Remedies Class Collection

Essential oils, herbs, homeopathy, botanicals, natural First Aid and practical reference tools designed to help you understand what you have and when you might use it.

The class doesn't have to be the end of the conversation.

Have a question about something I taught? Need clarification? Not sure how two concepts fit together? Membership is where you can come back and ask. That applies whether your class was included with annual membership or you purchased it separately as a monthly member.

Monthly members: the Homemade Food Course and Remedies Classes are available for separate purchase. Your monthly membership still gives you access to member Q&A, community conversations, monthly Zooms, member resources, replays and the ability to ask questions about classes you have purchased.

Where Membership Fits

Ask Me Questions. Just Don't Sneak an Entire Consultation Into One.

I want members to ask questions — that's part of why you're here. But there is a difference between talking through a question and reviewing an individual dog's entire medical history, diet, medications, labs and treatment plan.

Perfect for Membership

  • General nutrition and fresh-food questions
  • Questions and clarification from the Homemade Food Course
  • Questions and clarification from the Remedies Classes
  • “What do you think about this supplement?”
  • Natural wellness and prevention questions
  • Essential oil, herb and homeopathy education
  • Senior-dog questions
  • Product and ingredient discussions
  • Learning from other members' questions

Better for Private Support

  • Major or complicated diagnoses
  • Several overlapping chronic conditions
  • Detailed individual lab review
  • Custom therapeutic diet planning
  • Individualized protocols
  • Detailed medical and lifestyle history review
  • Ongoing private troubleshooting and adjustments

Questions Before You Join

Membership FAQ

Is this basically just a library of articles?
No. The resource library is useful, but it isn't the heart of membership. Membership gives you an ongoing place to ask me questions, join our live discussions, learn from other members and keep the conversation going as your dog's needs change.
Can I ask questions about my own dog?
Yes. That's part of the point. Members can bring focused general questions about food, supplements, products, remedies, senior health, prevention and wellness. If your question really requires a detailed individualized review, I'll tell you.
Can I ask questions about the Homemade Food or Remedies Classes?
Absolutely. I want you to be able to ask for clarification, talk through something you learned and keep building on the material. Annual members receive both classes with membership. Monthly members can purchase either class separately and still bring class questions into the member community.
Do monthly members have access to the classes?
The Homemade Food Course and complete Remedies Class Collection are not automatically included with monthly membership, but monthly members can purchase them separately. Annual membership includes both classes while the annual membership is active.
What is the community like?
It is for dog parents who want to learn, ask thoughtful questions and explore nutrition, natural wellness, prevention and better ways to support their dogs. You do not have to agree with everybody or already know everything. Curiosity is much more useful than pretending we all have the same answer.
What is the difference between monthly and annual membership?
Monthly membership is $49/month and includes the community, general member questions, monthly live Zoom education, available replays, member resources and member benefits. Monthly members may purchase the Homemade Food Course and Remedies Classes separately. Annual membership is $399/year and includes all of the ongoing membership benefits plus both complete classes.
What if my dog already has a serious health condition?
You can use membership for education, general questions, discussion and relevant resources. Complex disease management, detailed lab review, custom diets and individualized protocols belong in private support.
What if I cannot attend the monthly Zoom?
Available replays are added to the member resources so you can return to the conversation when it works for you.
Is this only for people who already use holistic remedies?
No. Some members already feed fresh food and use herbs, essential oils or homeopathy. Others are just starting to explore nutrition, prevention and natural wellness. You can start exactly where you are.

Why does signup happen through Substack? I use Substack to manage subscriptions, the 7-day free trial, complimentary trial access when offered and member communications. You are still joining The Well Oiled K9 Membership; Substack simply handles the signup and subscription side.

Come, Sit and Stay Well.

Bring Your Questions. Bring Your Dog. I'll Bring What I Know.

Join me and a community of dog parents who want to keep learning, talk through the questions that come up and make thoughtful choices for the dogs we love.

Holistic Dog Health Education, Natural Wellness Resources and Community Support

The Well Oiled K9 Community is an online holistic dog health membership for dog parents who want clear, practical education without having to sort through endless conflicting advice alone.

Members can learn about canine nutrition, fresh and homemade dog food, supplements, digestive health, senior dog wellness, essential oils for dogs, herbs, homeopathy, natural first aid and other approaches that may support the whole dog.

The membership includes weekly live dog health discussions, educational replays, member-only wellness resources, natural remedy references and a supportive community where dog moms can ask questions, understand their options and make more confident decisions for their dogs.

Annual members also receive access to the Homemade Dog Food Class and Remedies Class. These self-paced educational programs include practical guidance on canine nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, natural products, first aid and the safe, thoughtful use of essential oils for dogs and other animals.

Whether you are researching better food, comparing supplements, supporting an aging dog or exploring natural wellness for the first time, the goal is to help you understand what may matter most and identify a sensible next step.

The Well Oiled K9 Community provides education and group support. It does not replace veterinary diagnosis, emergency care or individualized medical treatment.
