Thinking about buying a PEMF device for your dog?
PEMF — Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy — is one of the tools I personally like for supporting dogs dealing with mobility changes, stiffness, injury recovery, senior-dog comfort and other situations where improving the body's healing environment may be useful.
Petspemf is the pet-specific PEMF system I recommend.
But this is also a several-hundred-dollar purchase, so I do not want you buying a device simply because someone said, “PEMF is good for arthritis.”
First I want to know what is actually wrong with the dog, whether PEMF makes sense for that diagnosis, how often you are likely to use it and whether a mat, bed or targeted loop is the smarter choice.

PEMF is a tool — not a diagnosis.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic fields as a non-invasive supportive modality. PEMF has a long history in human and veterinary rehabilitation, and pet-specific devices have made regular home use much more practical.
I personally use PEMF as one piece of whole-dog support because it can be incorporated without asking the dog to swallow another supplement or undergo another invasive procedure.
Mobility & stiffness
PEMF is commonly considered for aging joints, stiffness and dogs whose comfort or mobility has begun to change.
Recovery
It may be incorporated alongside an appropriate rehabilitation and veterinary plan after activity, injury or surgery.
At-home support
One of the advantages of a home PEMF device is consistency. The dog can receive regular sessions while resting instead of requiring a clinic visit for every use.
Pad, RollnRest or PetLoop PRO?
Petspemf currently offers three different ways to use PEMF with a dog. They overlap, but they are not interchangeable.

Dana's Take: This makes the most sense to me for the dog who already spends a lot of time resting and needs both orthopedic support and very easy, consistent PEMF access.
If your dog refuses to lie where you tell her, however, buying a fancy therapeutic bed she ignores may be an expensive piece of living-room decor. Know your dog. 🙂
