CBD Dog Health is one of the hemp companies I recommend because these aren't token “CBD treats” with a tiny amount of hemp added for marketing.
Their current dog tinctures use full-spectrum hemp extract in clearly stated concentrations, with different formulations depending on what you're trying to support.
CALM. EASE. HEAL.
And then there are topical products for itchy skin, paws, lumps, bumps and other localized concerns.
The harder question isn't whether CBD might help. It's which product, how much, and what else is going on with your dog.
I use CBD as a tool — not as a diagnosis. If your dog hurts, itches, panics, isn't sleeping or is dealing with chronic disease, I want to support the symptom AND understand why it is happening.
If I'm buying hemp for a dog, I want to know what is actually in the bottle.
CBD products vary enormously in quality and concentration. “Contains hemp” tells me almost nothing.
Full-spectrum hemp
CBD Dog Health uses full-spectrum hemp extract rather than isolated CBD, retaining naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant.
Actual milligrams
The current tinctures clearly identify the total CBD and approximate amount supplied per 1 mL dropper.
Third-party testing
Current certificates of analysis are available so cannabinoid content and contaminant testing can be reviewed by batch.
Organic hemp

These are the three core dog tinctures currently sold by CBD Dog Health. I choose among them based on what I actually want the product to accomplish.
CALM
CALM combines full-spectrum CBD with lavender, hemp seed oil and MCT oil.
Extra Strength: 1100 mg / 60 mL ≈ 18 mg CBD per 1 mL
I may consider CALM for situational or ongoing stress support: storms, fireworks, travel, grooming, separation-related stress or dogs who simply struggle to settle.
Dana's Take: CBD can help the nervous system feel less overwhelmed.
But if your dog is anxious because she is painful, nauseated, sleep-deprived, chronically inflamed or living in a state of constant behavioral stress, I want that addressed too.
EASE
EASE currently combines full-spectrum CBD with turmeric and frankincense, plus hemp seed oil and MCT oil.
Extra Strength: 1100 mg / 60 mL ≈ 18 mg CBD per 1 mL
EASE is the formula that gets my attention when mobility, stiffness, inflammatory balance or itch-prone skin is the primary goal.
Dana's Take: I like the CBD + turmeric + frankincense combination.
I still don't use EASE as proof that every limping dog has arthritis or every itchy dog has the same type of inflammation.
HEAL
HEAL is CBD Dog Health's most concentrated dog tincture.
The current formula is intentionally simple: USDA Organic CBD, hemp seed oil and MCT oil.
CBD Dog Health currently positions HEAL around dogs needing more comprehensive immune, inflammatory, cognitive, neurological and senior support.
Dana's Take: This is the tincture I look at when I want more CBD without needing multiple droppers of a weaker product.
That can be particularly useful in larger dogs and more complex cases.
“One dropper” is not the same amount of CBD in every bottle.
This is probably the most important practical point on the entire page.
CBD Dog Health's current manufacturer starting guidance is generally 1 full 1 mL dropper daily, with gradual adjustment based on the individual animal.
But:
CALM Original
Approximately 9 mg CBD per 1 mL.
CALM/EASE Extra Strength
Approximately 18 mg CBD per 1 mL.
HEAL
Approximately 37 mg CBD per 1 mL.
So when someone tells me: “I give my dog a dropper of CBD,” I still don't know how much CBD that dog receives.
Bottle concentration matters.
Sometimes the product belongs ON the dog instead of IN the dog.
REMEDY
REMEDY is currently marketed for localized lumps, bumps and skin concerns.
Current ingredients include:
organic CBD, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, eucalyptus essential oil, peppermint essential oil and arnica.
Dana's Take: This is one of the products I personally keep in the topical toolbox.
But please don't use a topical balm as a reason to ignore a new lump.
Know what the lump is first when appropriate.
SOOTHE
SOOTHE is designed specifically around itchy, irritated and sensitive skin.
Dana's Take: I love topical comfort while we're working on the bigger problem.
But a dog who repeatedly scratches, chews paws, grows yeast and gets ear infections is telling us there is more going on than a patch of irritated skin.
Nourish Balm Stick
The current Nourish formula combines CBD + dual-extracted Reishi mushroom with plant oils, arnica and natural waxes.
It is designed around dry paws, noses, elbows and other areas that need moisture and skin-barrier support.
Dana's Take: This is a different job from REMEDY.
I would choose Nourish for dryness and barrier support rather than treating every topical CBD product like the same salve.
Replenish CBD Dog Shampoo
Replenish is the current CBD-infused shampoo for dogs with dryness, itchy skin and seasonal sensitivity.
CBD Dog Health currently positions it around hydration, skin comfort and supporting a balanced skin microbiome.
Dana's Take: Good shampoo can support the skin. It does not replace solving chronic allergies or yeast from the inside.
CBD may improve comfort. I still want to know why the dog hurts.
This is where EASE is often the obvious product people click.
And it may absolutely belong in the plan.
But:
CALM can help take the edge off. It still isn't a behavior plan.
CBD can be a useful nervous-system tool.
I especially like having it available for thunderstorms, fireworks, travel, grooming and dogs who have trouble regulating stress.
But anxiety can also be influenced by:
Pain
Uncomfortable dogs frequently become more restless, reactive and sensitive.
Gut health
The gut and nervous system are in constant communication.
Behavior history
Fear learning, environment and repeated triggers still need a behavior strategy.
Cognitive change
Senior pacing and nighttime distress may be a brain-aging problem rather than ordinary anxiety.
Hormones
Endocrine changes can affect behavior, sleep and stress tolerance.
Environment
CBD cannot make an overwhelming environment stop being overwhelming.
I use CBD as supportive care. I do not sell it as a cancer cure.
HEAL is often the CBD Dog Health formula people find when their dog has cancer or another serious chronic condition.
Its higher concentration can be useful when a dog needs more comprehensive cannabinoid support without large volumes of oil.
But in a cancer patient, my CBD conversation is broader:

Is the dog painful, restless or having trouble sleeping?

Medications

Comfort the skin. Then work on why the dog keeps needing skin products.

CBD is natural. That doesn't make drug interactions impossible.
Cannabinoids are metabolized through liver pathways that are also involved in processing many prescription medications.
I especially want the medication list when a dog is taking:

- sedatives or anti-anxiety medications;
- NSAIDs or prescription pain medication;
- steroids;
- chemotherapy or other cancer medications;
- cardiac medications;
- multiple medications metabolized through the liver; or
- medications where sedation or appetite changes could complicate monitoring.
CBD may still be perfectly reasonable.
I simply don't want a dog parent assuming “plant-based” means pharmacologically invisible.
Dogs with significant liver disease or changing liver values also deserve more thoughtful monitoring.
