Healthy Dog Food
Is Healthy Dog Food The Answer You’re Looking For?
Probably.
Years ago, I started looking for answers. How could I ensure my dog’s health and well-being for a long as possible. I was no longer willing to accept that 50% of our dogs would experience cancer in their lives. I was no longer willing to accept “that’s normal” for Great Danes to die at 6 or develop CardioMyopathy. I was no longer willing to accept a dog was a senior citizen at 8 years old. Digging into this lead me to a whole new world beyond anything I had ever been taught. Things blew my mind! The anwers I found to both health and behavior were rooted in fresh, healthy dog food.
Dots were connected for me by holistic veterinarians, nutrition experts, naturopaths, homeopaths, aromatherapists, and others that awakened a passion for learning I never new I had. And knowledge flowed that changed everything. Learning about the connection between nutrition & behavior was a game-changer for my training business but also shifted everything into a journey of nutrition and wellness education & consulting.
Some things you should know:
Dry Dog Food, even the prescription kind, it just not the best option for our dogs. (Learn More Well Fed K9 Blog)
Most dry dog food kibble brands are far too high in carbohydrates, create inflammation in the body, and contribute to wellness and behavioral concerns. (https://k9coach.dog/wellfedk9)
Real Whole Healthy Dog Foods can help your dog’s body heal naturally, real whole foods can support health conditions naturally
Fresh Foods are more digestible meaning your dogs body will use more of the nutrients from the food, yet your dog’s eliminations will be smaller, less smelly & less inconsistent. Raw diets are 90-97% digestible, including the bones! Most kibbles are only 40-70% digestible. So your dog may eat less food than you think!
You may be able to eliminate Flea and Tick Products & many supplements or other products (especially those trial and error products)
You may be able to reduce:
smell and bathing frequency
Yeast, red-stained fur
allergies, itching, scratching, hot spots, rashes, fur loss
Vet Visits and perhaps some medications (anxiety meds, allergy shots, antibiotics, steroids, to name few)
We should consider a short term detox diet for our dogs — especially those with allergies, aggression, anxiety, and other wellness concerns, or the recently / frequently / potentially overvaccinated dogs.
