Before You Give the Next Parvo Distemper Vaccine For Dogs

Vaccinating For Parvo and Distemper

In no way am I anti-vaccination. In fact, no one that I know is truly anti-vaccination. But everyone should be anti-over-vaccination, and we should demand appropriate testing for anti-body production to be acceptable in our states for Rabies.

Ask to read the Label insert before you make a final decision.

Parvo / Distemper

We know that diseases such as Parvo and Distemper are preventable with proper vaccines. So they should be administered with proper puppy scheduling. But the likelihood that your dog will need another "booster" after the initial round is quite small, and can only be validated with a titer.

So please do not just "boost" as a matter of annual scheduling from what we have been taught. Demand the titer first.

Before re-vaccinating your pet at annual appointments -- ask for a Titer.

Consider naturally reared puppies.
