Forgot to Defrost Meat For Dinner

Forgot to thaw out meat for your dog's "raw meal". I did today!

It's really not a big deal.

I heard someone say recently, they didn't want to get into feeding their dog raw, because they were so busy, that she was afraid she wouldn't remember to thaw out meat.

People make a lot of excuses. But this one doesn't hold up.

Here's what you can do if you forgot to thaw out meat when feeding the Volhard Dog Nutrition diets.

  • open a can of sardines

  • open a can or pouch of salmon

  • Use Cottage Cheese

  • Use Kefir

  • scramble an egg or two, heck fed them raw

  • horror of horrors, defrost the meat in the microwave

  • gently cook some meat.

  • give them a raw meaty bone -- straight from the freezer.

Your dog loves variety. If he doesn't, it's probably because you haven't introduced enough variety yet.

If a normally healthy dog skips a meal it will not be a tragedy. He might think it is. He may even try to convince you it is, but it won't be. I promise.

Heck, I've run completely out of my Volhard mix before!
